Fuel Poverty Energy Advisor
Contract: Fixed term until 31st March 2019
Committed to making our community a better place we are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals to join our team of Fuel Poverty Energy Advisors in East Ayrshire.
The successful advisor will focus on reducing home energy and fuel poverty amongst domestic energy users throughout the region.
This post is funded by the Scottish Government’s People and Communities Fund and will be based in the Cunninghame Housing Association office in Kilmarnock.
A full UK driving license is essential for this role.
- Provide a friendly and professional service to all East Ayrshire and Scotland wide customers
- Provide advice to domestic home energy users to contribute to the delivery of a fuel poverty energy advice service
- Carrying out home visits and undertaking a range of tasks including gathering of information in relation to energy use and cost
- Advising customers on fuel debt, benefit claims, income maximisation, tariffs/payment options, fuel poverty grants and energy efficiency measures
Cunninghame Housing Association is the first large Housing Association in Scotland to be awarded Investors in People Platinum, Investors in Young People Gold Accreditation and the Investors in People Health & Wellbeing Good Practice Award.
This is a time of exciting growth as the Association plans to build circa 500 plus houses in North, East and South areas over the next 5 years.
