Buyer

Due to retirement, the leading supplier of mechanical mixing and blending equipment to the food, chemical and mineral industries is recruiting for a Buyer.

The buyer will work with a professional team of engineers to source engineering components, materials and services.

Key aspects of the role

• Seeking to improve our purchasing function
• Meeting and managing budget and delivery requirements
• Buying components, materials and services to as specified by our Design department 
• Maintaining relationships with suppliers and to find alternative sources of supply

The ideal candidate will be:

• Proficient in MS Office and purchasing system programmes
• Experienced in the management of multiple projects
• An excellent communicator and a team player
• Focused on high attention to detail and the importance of reliable deliveries
