Our client is a major, national Engineering and Distribution company. They are now looking for a Stores Supervisor, to be based at their site in Dagenham. This is a key role to ensure that the stores operation within the site is effectively managed and provides an outstanding service to the customer.
What the role involves:

* Where required, maintain inventory control data within the site systems and proactively review inventory data to optimise customer/company stock profile and replenishment

* Provide management and customers with reports, KPIs and feedback to contribute to effective planning, budgeting and performance management, within agreed time frames where required.

* Managers shall make themselves aware of and ensure compliance with all of the companies applicable management systems policies and procedures.

* Ensure that stocks are replenished on a regular basis to acceptable levels and within acceptable time frames

* Resolve escalated customer issues/complaints promptly, efficiently and to the absolute satisfaction of the customer.

* Monitor any required stock checks to ensure they are accurate and completed within given time frames

* Contribute to site operational efficiency by identifying potential improvements to company/customer processes

* Establish, maintain and develop effective working relationships, both with store users and the company team.

About You:

* Capability to understand Integrated Services business model and commercial contract with Customer

* Sales and customer relationship development skills

* Negotiation skills at multiple levels within customer and supplier organisations

* Ability to develop and negotiate new sources of supply

* Understanding of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet structures

* Understanding of cash management and debt collection

* Understanding of consignment stock principles

* Ability to provide regular forecasts of sales and profitability

* Coaching and mentoring of team members

* Understanding of, and ability to effectively action disciplinary procedures

* Understanding of, and ability to effectively action Health and Safety principles and procedures

* Ability to manage the site administrative workflow, setting individual tasks and ensuring team members have the necessary skills/training to achieve the required output

* Knowledge of some or all categories of Maintenance, Repair and Operational product and service range

* Ability to identify, justify and deliver engineering benefit savings

* Ability to effectively manage sales, margin and customer price savings to achieve or exceed site contract profitability

* Ability to identify, justify and deliver optimised stock levels within overall contract commitments

* Management of site overheads to ensure overall contract profitability

* Ability to develop and deliver continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications required:

* GCSE (or equivalent) English Language and Mathematics.

* Proficient user of windows based programmes. Experience of stock management systems.

* Minimum of 1 years work experience in a commercial, distribution or industrial environment.

* Minimum of 1 years work experience in a similar role.
