Visitor Services Manager

Location:  Threave Garden

Pay Band: Grade 3 lower

Type of Contract: Fixed-term seasonal, 40 hours/week (including weekends), until 21^st December 2018, potential renewal to March 2019.

The National Trust for Scotland is recruiting for a Visitor Services Manager to join their welcoming Visitor Services team at Threave Garden.

In this varied position you will co-ordinate and supervise admissions, retail, membership recruitment, visitor services, and events. You will have an integral role in helping to achieve visitor enjoyment as well as achieving commercial targets.

Your role

• Supervising and overseeing the successful operation of cafes and the Visitor Centre
• Day-to-day financial admin of catering and functions including costings and reports
• Supporting development and promotion of business offerings
• Delivering an events programme with the managerial team

Essential skills & experience

• Computer literate
• Food Hygiene Certificate
• High level of customer service skill
• Previous catering, sales or event management experience
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet demand
• Minimum education level of NVQ3/BTEC/City & Guilds/HND
