1st / 2nd Line Support Technicians

Our client is looking to expand its Support Services and is seeking 1st and 2nd Line Support Technicians to join a very successful team. Based just a two-minute walk from Brighton station, expect the rare opportunity to become part of an outstanding support team delivering the highest levels of customer service at all times.

Due to continued growth they are now seeking ambitious Helpdesk Technicians / IT Support Advisors (1st / 2nd Line) to join their dynamic, highly skilled and friendly Support team who enjoy business casual dress, frequent social events and a continuous supply of free tea and coffee.

As part of the team you will be the first point of contact for customers for post-sales product-related technical support. Whether you are responding quickly and efficiently to incoming calls; providing guidance to customers for training related issues; recording call details and investigations accurately, and efficiently; managing your queue of cases or ensuring customers are kept up-to-date with the progress of calls, you will play an essential role providing friendly, informed and efficient customer service and support via the phone, internet chat and email.

To qualify. We are looking for people with experience of Helpdesk Technician / IT Support Advisor (1st / 2nd Line) / Technical Support Advisor / First Line Support Technician / 2nd Line Support Executive / 1st Line Support Exec / Helpdesk Advisor / IT Support or similar who can demonstrate:

  • Delivering technical support and most essentially excellent customer service;
  • An A-Level or equivalent in IT, or the ability to demonstrate working knowledge / experience of computer systems, operating environments / Microsoft applications;
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or mark-up and scripting languages such as powershell, cmd, xml;
  • Knowledge of hardware and networks;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • The ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment;
  • You are a team player, with the ability and resilience to deal with emotional / difficult customers;
  • A GCSE English and Mathematics grade C or equivalent.
