About this Role:
Ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor required to work with the construction team on a GBP25m new build education project in Bournemouth, Dorset.
Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you will be responsible for sub-contract procurement, putting sub-contract packages out to tender, analysis of tender returns, placing sub-contract orders, management of sub-contractor accounts, undertaking measurement and valuations for payments, pricing variations, applications for interim payments, input to financial forecasting and CVRs, settlement of subcontractor final accounts.
This is a superb opportunity to gain experience of working on a complex, and technically challenging project with a leading main contractor, plus this is a progressive role with ongoing training and development, and excellent promotional prospects.
About the Company/Client/Project:
The divisional office for this busy main contractor group is based in the Hampshire, with a turnover of circa GBP100m, and secured workload in the education, further education, healthcare, commercial and leisure sectors, predominantly secured through regional and national frameworks, two stage tenders and often negotiated contracts with repeat clients.
Regional operating area includes Dorset and Hampshire.
The project is a GBP25m new build further education college building, secured on the Southern Construction framework, and due to commence on site in the third quarter 2018
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will be degree qualified with 1-2 years plus of practical site experience post-graduation, or have worked in the industry and studied by day-release.
