Senior Caretaker
This position is based in Battersea and is a shift based role with hours between 8am-9pm.
It is a full time role and you will be working 35-40 hours a week
Salary- £25,000-£30,000 (depending on experience)
The client is looking for someone who has worked in a maintenance/facilities/caretaker background previously who can provide a clean and hygienic estate environment that meets specific cleaning standard. You will be in charge of carrying out and co-ordinate cleaning, maintenance and associated duties.

Requirements-
Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance and comply with relative guidelines of health and safety procedures.
Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
To be aware of health and safety requirements and work to the current legislations
To promote the safety and wellbeing of colleagues and residents.

Main duties and responsibilities-
You will have tasks to complete daily, weekly and when necessary.

Some of the daily tasks include, but not limited to-
Monitor and keep clear of the litter estate pathways, paved area, car parks including grassed areas and planted beds.
Check light fittings and check for efficient operation. Change light bulbs as necessary.
Clear bins, chambers sub entries as well as the stairwell (some tasks are on a rota basis)

Some of the weekly tasks include but not limited to-
Ensure all drains and gullies are clear from obstruction and are free flowing,
Clean off any graffiti
Check fire doors are effective

Some of the tasks required as and when include but are not limited to-
Repairing or replacing door handles/window glass
Investigating and carrying out any minor day to day repairs, principally for elderly or disabled tenants as directed by the co-op office.
Maintain the security of the estate by securing entrances and exits as appropriate and reporting potential break in's.
Ensure supplies are reordered and refilled when necessary.
