Apprentice Accountant

An apprentice is required by TaxAssist Accountants in Solihull. The candidate must be studying or about to study for an accounting qualification such as AAT/ACCA/ACA.

The role is a full time permanent role with time allowed for studies.

Duties may vary depending upon the candidate's prior experience however initial responsibilities include:

- Reception and telephone duties when required

- Assistance with office administration (post, filing)

- Maintenance of client databases

- Data collation and entry into bookkeeping packages

- Assistance with the preparation of self assessment tax returns for individuals and partnerships

- Assistance with accounts preparation for sole trades and small companies

- Assistance with preparation of VAT returns

- Business support for clients

The role involves significant interaction with clients and other staff so a positive and friendly attitude is required.

Ability to manage workload and deadlines is important.

Good maths and IT skills and aptitude are essential.
