My client is involved in the automation industry operating on various sites in the UK. Working with a number of blue chip clients in the industrial and commercial sectors. An exciting division working with a leading sports car manufacturer and other top companies are in increasing demand. Due to their success there is a significant recruitment drive within the business and presently they are looking for a Controls Engineer to complement this rapidly growing division.
This division works with companies that require designs from a special purpose machinery, conveyors or material handling background. Responsibilities of the Controls Engineer will need to be able to understand the mechanical concept of the automation solution to provide the most appropriate control solution. Being part of a team that deigns bespoke system solutions, so communication with clients both written and verbal of a high standard. As the principal controls engineer for this division knowledge of safety regulations, control standards and commissioning will be needed.
For the Controls Engineer role it is likely that you will be diploma or degree qualified in electrical and control systems engineering, along with an extensive history as a controls engineer. Would be beneficial to have any experience with robot programming, Eplan knowledge or project management experience. Strong knowledge of special purpose machinery from basic conveying to high speed machinery. Due to the industries the division is involved in it would be advantageous for anybody with automotive or material handling background. A good level of communication skills and people skills.
The team is based South Midlands so candidates living in nearby areas are ideally suited including towns such as : Coventry, Rugby, Leicester, Banbury, Nuneaton, Milton Keynes and Cranfield.
