Our prestigious, privately owned, client with a nationwide network of branches and over 175 years trading experience, is seeking to strengthen their operation with the addition of an experienced Assistant Branch Manager.  The Assistant Branch Manager will support the Branch Manager in all areas of branch operation.  This exciting vacancy has occurred due to internal promotion, demonstrating that the company promote genuine career progression.  Your role as Assistant Branch Manager will contribute towards the branch achieving its goals, objectives and deadlines.  You will be passionate about building excellent working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.

Key Assistant Branch Manager responsibilities:

  • Manage the branch and personnel in a professional manner, encouraging development
  • Work with Branch Manager to drive sales team, product action plans
  • Control of overhead expenditure
  • Ensure that the branch operates to the Company’s strict Health and Safety Policy
  • HR Administration
  • Contribute towards the branch marketing
  • General administration as required

Personal Assistant Branch Manager specification:

  • Proven management, supervisory and people skills
  • Excellent sales ability and margin awareness
  • Proven track record working within the Merchant Industry
  • A thorough understanding of all Company products and services
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Good IT skills
