JOB TITLE: Credit Control Manager / Senior Credit Controller
COMMUTABLE FROM: Anlaby, Barton, Beverley, Bridlington, Brough, Cottingham, Driffield, Hull, Hessle, and Hedon
SALARY AND BENEFITS: GBP25k-GBP35k dependant on experience, Pension, 22 days Holiday
COMPANY INFORMATION: A market leading manufacturing company that has been established for nearly 50 years. The company supplies and installs home improvements as well as manufacturing for the construction industry. Due to an upcoming retirement they need to recruit a new Credit Control Manager to join the business.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
* Must have previous experience of working as a Credit Control Manager or as a Senior Credit Controller
* Must have experience of Sage and Microsoft Office
* Must be able to manage and educate others across the business
* Must have attention to detail
* Must have the ability to work under pressure and the ability to prioritise Tasks
* Must have excellent communication skills
* Ideally have CICM qualification and have experience of High Court Enforcement
ROLE INFORMATION:
Reporting to the MD the Credit Controller will also work closely with the Financial Director to deliver an accurate and efficient credit control service.
The successful candidate will have one person directly reporting into them who works in a credit control, but they will also have to manage the heads of other departments. My client wants a strong character who is an expert in Credit Control who can lead and educate others within the business.
This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and customers to ensure the smooth running of accounts.
The day-to-day duties of the Credit Controller are varied and include managing the debts of creditors, ensuring timely payments are made, processing incoming funds, reconciling invoices, resolving account queries and managing debt recovery.
Key responsibilities:
* Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors
* Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers' credit rankings with banks
* Ensuring timely payment of debts
* Following up payments as needed
* Negotiating re-payment plans
* Responding to relevant client enquiries
* Processing and reconciliation of invoices
* Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems
* Preparation of statements, client status reports and all relevant information as required
* Managing sales ledger
* Providing administrative support to the team
