Engage Talent Partners are working with a well-established manufacturing company to source a Quality Manager with a background in manufacturing for their facility based in Aberdeen.
Reporting to the board of directors you will lead the Quality team while advising the board both from an operational and strategic view.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience both in a quality management role and within a manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Own quality management process, policies and execution.
* Develop a culture of continual improvement and right first time mentality within the QA functions
* Develop an effective internal auditing process that is fit for purpose and action orientated.
* Ensure that the group's supply chain is selected, audited and monitored on performance and results reported to senior management regularly.
* Develop and manage a supplier quality survey process with regular audits, metrics and supplier performance dashboard
* Implement any action required to comply with statutory legislation, with regard to Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental regulations
* Measure, analyse and update all processes, working practices and documents and conduct a Business Management Review Meeting on a 6 monthly basis to report on such.
* Create all non-technical data required to allow the inspection and testing of mechanical and electrical products.
* Conduct investigations and resolve customer complaints timeously and provide analysis to senior management on a regular basis with a plan to reduce.
* Provide induction/training/briefings to all staff on the quality management system and on issues arising from PNCRs/SNCRs/Customer Complaints
* Introduce and develop effective problem solving tools to aid QA Investigations including RCA, 8D, DMAIC
* Advise senior management on training requirements and initiate continuous improvements identified by analysis of Group KPIs, investigations and other data.
* Maintain the group management behaviours practices and equal opportunity policy.
* Assist with training and job or product awareness for other staff within the Group.
Candidates must have experience in a quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment and be well versed in supply chain performance improvement processes.
