Machine Support Assistant (Pre-Press) - Night shift

Job position: Machine Support Assistant-NIGHT SHIFT ONLY

Location: Fulwood, Preston

Salary: 15,600

Working hours: Monday-Thursday: 9:45pm-6:45am, Friday: 6:45pm-10:15pm

My client has got a fantastic job opportunity for the right candidate to work in a busy warehouse environment who would prefer to do night shifts.

POSITION PURPOSE
We are looking for a candidate to provide a high-level support service to keep presses operating efficiently in order to print a wide variety of self-adhesive labels in a busy manufacturing environment while adhering to all quality and safety standards. The job involves pre-press, assisting with supply of inks, plates, jobs etc

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

-Liaise with Production Planning department, Supervisors and Press Operators to make ready jobs as per the production schedule.

-Mounting printing plates and mixing inks.

-Delivering all components to the production presses in a timely manner (JIT).

-Assist with quality checks and Press minding duties.

-Maintain optimum quality at all times.

-Assist with set-up and tear-down operations.

-Maintain optimum Health and Safety standards and keep area neat and clean at all times.

-Consistently achieve productivity targets.

-Complete accurate job records and time recording.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience of working in a production environment to high quality standards whilst meeting targets and deadlines. General computer skills
