Construction Project Manager

Description

A new construction division is to be created as part of a successful property development company in both Surrey & London.

They are looking for someone with at least 5 years proven project management expertise within project delivery, ideally from a building surveyor or quantity surveyor background, that can bring experience in both site and contracts management to the table. The role will be based in the site office of one of the ongoing projects in London SW19, with an occasional need to travel to other sites within range.

The company is looking to grow its portfolio of construction projects, and is looking for a motivated candidate with leadership qualities that has the ability to ensure the project delivery stays on track.

Role Responsibilities :

• Manage the planning/delivery of all construction projects on time and within budget - track record.

   

  Material management and equipment management

   

  Scheduling, time planning and deadline-setting

   

  Ensure that all CDM regulations are met

   

  Quality control throughout a project lifecycle, including during fit-out.

   

  Budget management and cost control

   

  Establishing and maintaining relations with vendors

   

  Undertaking Contract management (JCT) and administration

   

  Monitor and report on the contractors progress

   

  Development of project documentation, programmes, master budget, risk register

   

Candidate Specification :

• At least 5 years proven project management expertise or within a construction delivery role

   

  At least 10+ years in the construction industry

   

  Must have a thorough understanding of the project lifecycle

   

  Excellent communication skills

   

  Flawless attention to detail

   

  A naturally-critical, problem-solving persona

   

  Good IT skillset in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project or similar, and web skills.

   

  Ideally holds a CSCS & CISRS card, or prepared to go on a training course
