Site Manager
The Company We undertake a wide range of projects from £100,000 up to £4million in value comprising refurbishments, extensions and new build projects in the health, commercial and educations sectors. Approx. 70% of our workload is within the private healthcare market and can include ward refurbishments, suites and examination areas, bedrooms and general occupation areas with the vast majority being repeat business
The Role
A Site Manager is required to oversee projects from inception to completion, on projects ranging from £100,000 to £2.5 million (average job value £1m) which will consist of typical refurbishments within the healthcare sector The required candidate will have demonstratable experience in the delivery of projects specifically involving the facilitation of imaging equipment installation (MRI’s, CT’s, X-Rays etc) – Candidates without this experience need not apply Vast majority of projects involve work within, or in the vicinity of, live environments and so similar experience is essential Experience of new builds works is a distinct advantage including traditional strip footing, piling, structural steel, cladding, masonry, singly ply / felt roofing, tiled roofing, drainage, hand and soft landscaping.
A higher than average level of M&E knowledge is a necessity. Our work in nationwide so travel and lodging will be required.
Key duties will include, but not limited to;
- Manage the day to day running of site including subcontractors, direct labour and materials
- Overall responsibility for Health and Safety on site
- Liaison and co-ordination with client project team and client site operational team
- Review and approval or RAMS (in conjunction with Project Manager)
- Review and updates of programme progress, delays and RFI’s (in conjunction with PM / QS)
- Monitoring and maintaining of quality of work
- Assessing design details and potential issues and pro-actively seeking guidance or proposals to ensure problems are overcome in a swift and agreeable manner
Minimum Training Requirements;
- SMSTS
- CSCS (preferred)
- First Aid
- Asbestos Awareness
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Project advantageous)
