37.5 hours per week on a salary in the region of £40,000 per annum
(Reasonable additional hours may need to be worked in order to satisfactorily fulfil the role and responsibilities of the post; pension currently 4% contribution)

Job details
The Chief Executive provides strategic vision, leadership and management to the operation of CRCC. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has the enthusiasm to enable and support Cornwall’s communities and clients. You will be responsible for the smooth running of day-to-day operations in line with our charitable objectives and schemes of delegation. This will include strategic planning and delivery, financial planning and budgeting, fundraising and staff management. Working closely with our Board, you will act as lead adviser and ensure the Board receives advice, recommendations and information in an effective and timely manner. You will ensure good working relationships internally, between staff and trustees and externally with key partners.
Role requirements
The successful candidate will be an inspirational leader and role model for CRCC staff and volunteers. You will show good judgement, lead people by example, delegate effectively and develop all staff to their full potential. You will also be a proactive ambassador, advocate and profile raiser for CRCC. You should have experience at a senior level along with commercial awareness and a good understanding of the not-for-profit sector. Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will be confident in taking responsibility for financial and business planning and will be a strong negotiator capable of presenting to various audiences. If you are creative, highly self-motivated, results-driven and able to prioritise the conflicting demands of a range of stakeholders, we would love to hear from you!
