BIM Manager
BIM Manager - Civil Engineering - Southampton
Our client is one of the country's most progressive privately owned contractors within annual turnover in excess GBP5billion per annum and with interests across all aspects of construction. They are continually looking towards the future with heavy investment in new innovation and are always looking to make sure they are their people are at the cutting edge of their industry.
They are currently at the initial stages of GBP400million Smart Motorways project to improve the traffic flow on the M27 between Southampton and Portsmouth.
They are looking to recruit a first class BIM Manager to ensure the highest possible level of BIM implementation on this project. The BIM managers role will be central to ensuring projects comply with these requirements.
The role is crucial to the success of any BIM project as data exchange is key and where design consultants and supply chain contractors are inputting information with separate software tools then the coordination of that data exchange is at the core of the success of producing an Asset Information Model.
The BIM Manager must be able to objectively audit all design discipline's models and capable of producing model quality reports. The best fit for this role is someone with design knowledge requiring experience and understanding how models are created and how to navigate and verify BIM data.

Responsibilities:
As a BIM Manager you will:
* Candidates must have a working knowledge of BS 1192, PAS 1192and other BIM standards
* Competent to establish a Common Data Environment (Bentley / ProjectWise) including processes and procedures to enable reliable information exchange between Project Team Members and other parties.
* Establish, agree and implement the information structure and maintenance standards for the Information Model.
* Develop, implement and maintain BIM Execution Plan , Processes and Protocols for a given project in conjunction with project design and construction personnel in accordance with the project / clients EIR's.

Our projects encompass motorway widening, congestion relief, safety improvement and bypass schemes. Other recent notable projects includes M62 Smart Motorways, Lincolnshire's new A1073 bypass, the A1 Improvement scheme from Dishforth to Barton in North Yorkshire, and the M74 Completion Project through central Glasgow, Scotland's largest infrastructure scheme. Under Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) schemes, we engage with our customers as early as possible to maximise innovation, efficiency and cost savings.
