Job Title: Domestic Assistant (Ref: DA/AH)

Based: Olton, Solihull, B27 6PF

Salary: £14,250 pa (£7 per hr)

Job Role:

The Trust (a well-established charitable care provider in Olton, Solihull) currently has a vacancy for a full time Domestic Assistant in Alexandra House, the Trust's residential care home. The role is 35 hours per week including some weekend working.

Main duties of the role include maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in all communal areas of the building; to include lounges, corridors, bathrooms and dining rooms and making and changing residents' beds, cleaning their rooms regularly and deep cleaning rooms between residents.

In addition, they are looking for a Domestic Assistant to work variable hours as and when needed to clean for and do laundry for the residents in their sheltered housing scheme.

Key Skills:

• Previous cleaning experience is essential.
• In addition, ideally, candidates will already have cleaning experience in a residential care home, nursing home or hospital.
• The Trust is looking for professional, self-motivated team players who are sensitive to the needs of older people.
• As the posts involves working with vulnerable adults, an enhanced DBS check will be taken up for successful candidates by the Trust.
