Activities Coordinator - Sports Club Wellbeing, Safety and Development

Salary £21,935 per annum. The role is a permanent full-time position. It offers an excellent working environment and benefits package including 34 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.

Cardiff University Students’ Union (CUSU) has a vision of working with every Cardiff student to enhance their university experience. CUSU supports over 200 student societies and 67 sports clubs that boast more than 10,000 members.

CUSU is also the recognised voice of students at Cardiff University, joining students in campaigning about the issues important to them. The trading subsidiary of CUSU, Cardiff Union Services Limited, manages a purpose built facility in the centre of Cardiff and operates cafes, shops, bars and events that help fund CUSU’s charitable activities. CUSU is based on Park Place and at the Heath Park campus, employing over 100 permanent staff and 300 student staff. We are looking to recruit an individual to work closely with sports clubs, societies and the organization as a whole developing practices and procedures to ensure that all activities are undertaken in a safe and enjoyable manner.  In this role, the post holder would be responsible for coordinating the development and training of volunteers engaged in running sports clubs and societies and the support of their varied activities.

The successful applicant will be involved in a number of different activities, with good understanding of health and safety practices in sport and other activity.  They will be an effective and efficient team member, confident at working to deadlines and able to communicate effectively with a variety of people.
