Ebor Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust serving children aged 2 to 16. It is our aspiration to develop geographical hubs of schools that share our values.
If you are an aspirational person who has led Literacy in your current school and are looking for a leadership opportunity, then this could be the role for you!
We are currently seeking an experienced and outstanding practitioner, who is passionate about teaching, to join our School Improvement Team across our growing academy trust. This is an exciting opportunity for dynamic and highly motivated primary teacher and future senior leader to join an excellent, hardworking and friendly team.
The successful candidate will be accountable to an executive headteacher and ultimately trustees and play a vital role in raising attainment and developing the subject knowledge and pedagogy across Ebor Academy Trust.
The role will consist of an initial two term deployment in one of our latest joining schools which is in challenge (Braeburn Primary and Nursery Academy, Scarborough). Thereafter, you will be willing to teach part of the week and fulfil support roles across the region. Working in our school to school support teams, you will develop subject skills across the trust, supporting some of our teachers in developing their skills and knowledge, and being a buddy teacher in one of our vulnerable schools.
As the successful candidate, you will have excellent communication skills and effective classroom management strategies. An outstanding classroom practitioner who has a proven track record in raising standards of achievement, you will have experience in leading Literacy, and will be able to lead and motivate others.
We can offer an excellent working environment with good resources, supportive colleagues and community, support to develop in a senior leadership role and the opportunity to enhance your teaching experience.
Closing date for applications will be midday on Monday 15 October. Interviews will take place shortly afterwards.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to a DBS Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure.
