An exciting opportunity has arisen for a positive and proactive Voids Team Leader to carry out void inspections identify and specify works, supervise our multi skilled workforce in the provision of planned, cyclical, responsive and void repairs. Supporting the Void & Responsive Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all void operatives undertaking work are aware of their statutory duties, adequately trained and supported, and that all relevant documentation is completed.

You’ll need to lead, manage and motivate your team, ensuring that the service provided is cost effective, value for money and efficient. Committed to continuous improvement, you’ll make recommendations to improve service delivery with a focus on ensuring an excellent customer service at all times. This will involve using your knowledge of construction methods to carry out quality inspections, investigate technical problems and work collaboratively with colleagues, external contacts and tenants to ensure successful outcomes.

With demonstrable experience of working in the housing repair/maintenance sector, you will be able to demonstrate experience of successfully supervising a team, preferably with multiple trade disciplines. You will need  a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent and/or minimum of NVQ Level 3 or its equivalent. Experience of void property repairs within a Social Housing/Local Authority environment would be advantageous.

A driving licence is essential. A vehicle will be provided for work use and to and from your home address.
