Pertemps - Burton are currently recruiting for a Cable Jointers Mate to assist with the installation and wiring on a major street light and furniture contract.
The Cable Jointers Mate duties will include:
* Installation of street lights and highway street light equipment
* Maintenance of street lights and highway street light equipment
* Jointers Mate for connections do DNO/IDNO networks
* The safe use of equipment and vehicles associated with the role up to and including LGV (Cat C)
* Excavation and reinstatement in multiple surface types to current NRSWA standards
* Attending call outs which may require participating in a 24hr standby rota for emergency attendance
The Cable Jointers Mate will have the following:
* An appropriate NVQ (eg C&G 6156) or equivalent qualification in highway excavation and reinstatement
* A current NRSWA qualification (Units 1-9 preferred)
* An appropriate G39 qualification
* A current full driving licence up to and including LGV (Cat C)
* Electrical qualification C&G 236 Parts 1 / 2330 Level 2 would be beneficial
* A CSCS accreditation via the Highways Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS) is also preferred
The successful Cable Jointers Mate will be working 37hrs per week.
There will be permanent positions available for the right candidates.
