BS Social Care is currently looking to recruit a Care and Support Assistant in the Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire area. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a friendly and hard working team. The role is to work for a well known and large organisation caring for the elderly in a luxury living environment.
About the employer;
The employer is a huge and nationwide wide organisation providing accommodation to retired elderly people. The organisation offers supported care for the elderly who have sold their own homes and moved into the accommodation provided by us.
About the role;
Daily duties include housekeeping, domestic support and personal care services. You will provide core domestic assistance to homeowners in their apartments and undertake light household cleaning, removal of rubbish and tidying up. You will collect food shopping, posts letters, arranges for deliveries and assists with internet shopping. You will deal with refuse, undertake washing and ironing and change bedding. You will manage heating systems and help with pets. You will support homeowners with their personal care and hygiene, such as washing, dressing, feeding, toileting, manual handling as appropriate, helping clients in and out of bed, wheelchair and bath. You will support homeowners with social and other duties.

The hours of work for the day shift which consist of 8 -4/4 - 9 and nights include 9 - 9 both are shift patterns.
About the candidate;
You will need to have a NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and have at least 6 months experience. You will need to be passionate, team player, people person, think on the feet, empathy, and think on your feet. You will also need to be have good interpersonal skills, flexible, Calm and caring approach, Honesty and respect for confidentiality, Reliability, Ability to manage your own time, professional appearance, Ability to communicate clearly, Approachable, Ability to work as part of a team and a can do approach to work
A pay rate of £8 - £9 per hour will be offered for a full time and permanent job.
