Our teams of Housekeepers always put our residents first. They are responsible for providing a full cleaning service for residents, their families and visitors and other St Monica Trust employees. Elements of the role involve the preparation and delivery of food - such as making up trays etc. As such all our Housekeepers are trained on Health and Safety regulations and have a working knowledge of Food Hygiene legislation. We offer full training for the full range of roles and responsibilities within this role.

Our Housekeepers tell us that the role is very hands-on, practical, and busy and there's never a dull moment. Their team-working ethos is vital to providing a quality service - they have a strong sense of "looking out for each-other" and "pulling together to get things done". The most rewarding part of their role though, is getting to know our residents, who value the Housekeepers in the way they build relationships of "trust and respect" and are always "willing to help".

What we're looking for:

Experience of cleaning is important - the role includes cleaning residents' rooms and communal areas such as offices, dining rooms, hallways, receptions. The role requires the ability to think on your feet and respond quickly - sometimes needing to drop all your well planned tasks to attend to something at short notice. Prioritising and time-management are key as is the ability to strike up conversation.

If you are ready for this new challenge, we look forward to hearing from you.

You can find more details about the role and the person we are looking for, through the role profile, which is available on our website.
