Site Inspection Engineer

Reporting to the Site Maintenance and Inspection Leader at SGP, this position sits within the maintenance and inspection department at SGP and will provide technical / engineering advice and support in relation to all site inspection activities.

The post has been created to ensure a stronger focus on the efficient delivery of inspection work scopes, reduction of waste and management of Inspection technicians at SGP.

In addition a key focus will be on maximising the availability of equipment and ensuring appropriate inspection is conducted in line with company procedures and requirements, whilst continually looking for opportunities to reduce / streamline overall inspection activities and backlog.

The post holder will be required to work on a Monday to Friday basis. Candidates should ideally have a background in engineering and be certified as CSWIP Plant Inspector level 2 or similar. Extensive experience in the oil & gas industry both offshore & onshore in-service plant inspection works, and a background in analysing the condition of equipment (piping, pressure vessels, structure, lifting equipment) are also essential.
