The Role of a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias):
Based between their sites in Shefford and Bedford, you will be working rotating shifts of 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, Monday to Friday. Your day-to-day role will require you to carry out electrical maintenance and PPM to a host of process equipment and plant machinery used to manufacture products for the construction industry. You will also be expected to help amend mechanical faults, minimising downtime There may be very occasional welding and fabrication work, but training/help can be provided. Your knowledge will be tested on a daily basis. An average working week is 37.5 hours.
The Candidate for the Maintenance Engineer Position:
???You MUST hold a formal electrical engineering qualification; minimum of C&G or HNC
???You will have been a maintenance engineer previously
???Engineering experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
???You will have strong knowledge of medium to heavy plant and production machinery
???Knowledge of PLCs, a FLT licence, BS 7671, welding, milling, or turning is very desirable but not essential
???Able to commute to sites in Shefford and Bedford
???Able to work unsupervised and using your own initiative
???You must have a full valid UK driving licence
???You must have right to work in the UK
