We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Leeds.

Within this role, you will be responsible for all commercial functions of the contracts allocated, issuing contractual notices and communications both up and down stream, reporting monthly against budgets, ensuring subcontractors are paid at the appropriate times.

You will prepare and submit external valuations where appropriate on regular basis to ensure Mears Group receive full payment for works. Meeting and/or exceeding budgets/targets set at the commencement of the project, you will also be responsible for the Quantity Surveying team including the Commercial Officers.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have substantial contracting experience and have previously worked as a Senior Surveyor.  With experience of sub-contract negotiations and preparation of commercial documentation, you will also have experience in managing individuals, teams and processes.  An understanding of forms of Contracts (NEC, JCT, PPC etc.) is also important and you will have strong Excel skills.  The successful candidate must also have some experience in D&B as well as Refurbishment works.

Although not essential, a formal Quantity Surveying qualification would be an advantage.

This position comes with a car or car allowance as standard.

 

Candidates for this role must hold a full UK driving licence
