We are currently looking for a full time Recovery Worker in the Milton Keynes area to join a popular organisation that offers 24 hours supported housing accommodation for people with mental health problems. You don`t need to have qualifications as training will be provided. The salary for this role is £21,254

About the employer;
The overall aim of the organisation is to help build people`s confidence and help develop the necessary life and social skills to access local community services, enabling service users to live a full and independent life. The service has 4 houses and caters for around 12 residents with mental health/ drug and alcohol issues, aged between 18 - 65 years.

About the job;
Day-to-day, you will manage residents and give them all the support they need to enable them to participate in community life. You will also work with individuals to develop an appropriate personal support plan that addresses their specific needs. You will help people to develop domestic, financial and emotional management and personal life skills to help them achieve greater independence and self esteem. You will administer medication and provide support and risk plans for service users.
You will be working full time hours on a 6 week rolling rota. This will include working early and lates, weekends and sleep in shifts.
Shifts include:
Early shift : 8 - 4pm
Late shift : 12 - 8pm
Overnight shift sleep in : 3pm - 10pm - sleep in - 8am - 4pm

About the ideal candidate;
The ideal candidate will be a great listener, with a flexible approach for planning and prioritising busy workload. You will need to have a good understanding of mental health issues and how they affect people, so any amount of experience working with mental health is essential. You will also need to be friendly and approachable and be able to build a good working relationship with service users. You will need to be enthusiastic, wanting a challenge and bubbly. You will need to have high energy, use initiative, confident, drive and be pro active.

Salary of £21,254 includes basic salary of £16,100, over night sleep ins and on call pay. The benefits include; voucher schemes, pension, career progression and 25 days holiday including bank holidays. No qualifications needed as you will be given full training. You will need some experience of working with mental health.
