We are looking for two part time Markets Officers to manage the historic Lichfield markets. In this exciting role you will work to incentivise new market traders and promote them to increase footfall.
The markets are held three times a week with a variety of different stalls, plus a Farmers Market once a month selling locally-sourced produce and goods.
The Market Square is steeped in history and has been in frequent use since 1153, in this role you will have a lead role in maintaining the tradition.
Your duties
- Promoting markets and encouraging event hire
- Managing and approving requests to hire the Square
- Carrying out Health and Safety inspections and maintaining bank records
- Incentivising market traders, issuing licenses and liaising with traders
