TYPE OF BUSINESS:

Property company established in 1984 requires an Office Assistant to work within the busy student lettings department. The business is based in Winchester, run by two architects and employs eighteen permanent members of staff. We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking individual who can provide a good level of admin support and who is looking to develop their skills within a varied and interesting role.

HOURS & TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT:

Mon – Fri, 37.5 hrs per week. Permanent.

MAIN TASKS TO INCLUDE:

  • Booking in property viewings and managing the property viewing diary
  • Answering telephone, dealing with post and greeting visitors
  • Replying to email queries and writing to tenants.
  • Scanning and filing/archiving of documents.
  • Processing tenancy paperwork
  • Assisting with property inspections and inventories
  • Responding to maintenance requests
  • Entering data onto spreadsheets & company systems
  • Any other work as directed

OTHER TASKS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Providing support to the accounts department: data entry, writing cheques, paying bills, matching invoices, updating spreadsheets etc
  • Providing support when needed to the project team: typing documents and reports, research, invoicing general word processing, filing and data entry
  • Assisting all members of staff as required
  • Any other work as directed

CANDIDATES MUST BE/HAVE:

  • Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel experience
  • Numerate
  • Typing speed of min 45wpm
  • Maths and English GCSE grades C or above
  • Polite and clear telephone manner
