This manufacturing Plant in Trafford Park is looking for an experienced Quality assurance Technician for a period of 6 months fixed term contract. It is essential that you have aerospace experience. It is a shift pattern of 6-2 or 2-10

Overall purpose of the Job:
To give assurance of the correct release of products to customer requirements and in this way support compliance of their ISO9001 & AS9100 quality system.

Responsibilities will include:
Carry out inspection and measurements to sampling plan on all works orders before release. Able to use and understand drawings, specifications and electronic models. Using a well-developed practical knowledge of standard manual measuring equipment and gauges as well as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Following of first article verification processes to AS9102 including use of electronic reporting such as Net Inspect and Solid Works Inspection.
Checking of all works orders received for completeness and reconcile any discrepancies.
Responsible for the documentation control of all associated paperwork
Monitor analyses and review all necessary process control information (required for product release) e. electronic charts from data loggers, density reports and mix details. Where necessary raising corrective actions requests with all interested parties.
Investigate issues and create solutions when dealing with non conforming product or supplies.

Skills and Experience Required:
Experience and understanding of Metrology:
Use of micrometers, digital calipers and gauges.
Understanding of engineering drawings (BS8888)
Able to communicate at all levels
Very strong on administration. Populating forms and preparing release documents.
BTec Level III or higher in an Engineering / Metrology discipline with merit and distinction grades.
5 years` experience working in a manufacturing / engineering environment
aerospace experience, visual inspections, measuring equipment and FAIRs are essential
