Production Controller
Our client is seeking an ambitious experienced Production Controller to run the MRP for a small range of products and to control the internal processes for their products and service of products.
The Person
Although this role is considered to be an admin role within a technical company the successful candidate will have:-
* Experience of maintaining and running an MRP
* A technical background and be familiar with electronics. (This will help in understanding the clients products and also help when purchasing).
* Experience in purchasing, ideally electronic components and PCB boards
* Strong organisational skills to deal with varied and occasionally heavy workload
* Good communication skills as the job will require candidate to work with other members of the team as well as suppliers
* Strong PC skills
Duties include:
Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
* Weekly Running MRP Plan for purchasing requirements
* Raising required new purchase orders to meet company needs
* Obtaining quotations for purchase orders
* Progressing/Chasing existing purchase orders to meet company needs
* Raising works orders as required by MRP output
* Control of Inventory
Tasking - setting tasks for operations technical staff for:-
* all production processes to meet the MRP needs
* all service processes for RMAs coming into the company
Service
* Monitoring Service Sub Assembly Stock
* Organising service sub-assemblies to be repaired
* Ensuring IPR/OPR Customs Procedures are adhered to
General
* Control of any reject materials sent back to suppliers - monitoring for return to company of corrected product
* Ensuring all product information is entered into the database
* Ensuring goods received are properly booked into stock
Shipping and Dispatch
Raising dispatch documentation for:
* Customer Orders
* Customer Service
* Reject products back to supplies
* Arranging for collection of customer product where applicable
* Ensuring incoming customs procedures are followed
