An expanding company that are recognised as leaders in their field throughout Europe area are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join its team based in Somerset.
The company is an independent but wholly owned manufacturing subsidiary of a US-based corporation, offering complete climate control solutions to their broad range of customers.
The aim of the role is to meet and maintain the safety, quality, cost, and delivery requirements of the planning, purchasing and logistics functions, through creating, maintaining and organising the required resources & materials.
As a Supply Chain Manager your duties will include:
- Completing the supply chain process and related functions.
- Covering planning, purchasing & supplier management, logistics, stores control and transport.
- Ensuring that the best value in terms of quality, price and service is always achieved.
- Leading all resources contained within the supply chain areas, ensuring the H&S, quality, cost and delivery requirements are met and maintained.
- Establishing and maintaining exceptional housekeeping and discipline standards.
- Communicating with all departments to ensure customers are not let down.
- Directly recruiting, managing, developing, appraising and succession plan all personnel within the production function, taking responsibility for their day to day HR issues.
- Ensuring that the company meets or exceeds its operational and fiscal targets.
- Leading, developing and mentoring a small team and contributing to the wider commercial success of the business.
- Representing and supporting the Operations Manager and making decisions relating to purchasing, logistics, stores, inventory accuracy, activities and issues.

To be a successful Supply Chain Manager you will have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
- Hold a CIPS qualification or equivalent.
- Previous procurement, and ideally logistics experience.
- Experience within engineering/sheet metal and assembly operations together with a managerial exposure within a similar function.
In return, you will receive a salary of cGBP45,000 per annum DOE. The role within easy reach of beautiful countryside and the renowned Jurassic coast yet only 20 minutes from J25 (M5).
