Car bodyshop / accident repair estimator / damage assessor Engineer ( VDA ) required for an expanding claims, accident management company in Halifax.
This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served panel beater / estimator / body shop manager to move into a professional office based environment with excellent career prospects. Training can be provided for someone who has good car / van repair and estimating experience that would like to move out of the bodyshop environment.
This position offers an excellent salary, 40 hours per week and no weekend work. You will be working in a friendly team of like-minded engineers, in an interesting and enjoyable role.
Skills and Experience
Substantial experience in Cars, Vans damage estimating, body shop or engineering role with knowledge Audatex.
HGV experience beneficial but not essential.
Strong communication skills with good telephone manner. Happy to build relationships and negotiate with repairers.
Confident in using IT computer systems (Experience of Audatex or similar management system essential).
Full driving licence.
Responsibilities
Checking body shop estimates against images to confirm viability of repair, control of repair costs and to ensure that the correct repair methods are used.
Control the claims cost of reinstating accident damaged vehicles.
Control repair costs to ensure that clients receive the best possible outcome.
Provide a quality engineering resource to the business and clients, offering clear and informed guidance.
Ensure that agreed service levels are maintained.
When required, carry out vehicle inspections on site or at the appointed repairer.
