Agronomist | Cereals, Potatoes and Root Veg

We are proud to be working with a well known and highly regarded agricultural company as they look to appoint an Agronomist to join their specialist agronomy team. With ambitious plans for the future, this firm is a great place for you to progress your career and establish yourself within the agricultural industry. You'll mainly be providing advice on cereal crops but you will work with potatoes and root veg too, giving you diversity in your job and the chance to develop a wider knowledge base across a variety of crops.

The Job:

You'll be visiting farms in Cambridgeshire, South Lincolnshire and Norfolk to advise your customers on crop nutrition, crop protection and current agricultural legislation.
Crop walking with your customers to ensure that you understand their needs.
Place and track orders from customers to ensure that they are delivered on time.
Work closely with the Trials and Technical teams to make sure that you are on top of all recent technical developments.
Establish a strong relationship with your customers.

The Person:

A background in agriculture and a strong understanding of the industry.
A self-starter who is able to develop new business and follow up leads.
A fantastic communicator who enjoys interacting with people.
FACTS or BASIS qualifications and experience of working in a commercial role.
Full UK driving licence is essential.
