Housing Officer
Chippenham, Wiltshire based
Permanent position, 18.5 hours (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays)
Salary GBP25,587 - GBP28,146 (pro rata) + GBP750 essential car allowance + great benefits
Passionate about great places to live, our client develops a range of new homes - for rent, shared ownership, and sale - and provides housing management, care and support, and commercial property services.
They have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Officer on a part time basis, to deliver a high quality housing management service, focussing on customer satisfaction and value for money. You will have full ownership of and manage a mixed tenure patch and provide an excellent service to all their customers regardless of tenure.
Supporting their ambition of putting customers at the heart of the business you will effectively promote the development and empowerment of customers to play an active role in shaping standards and service across the the Group.
The Housing Officer is a key role within the Neighbourhood's structure. This post is front line and customer facing, and the face of our client for many of our customers. You will report to a team leader within a particular team, but may work beyond a defined geographical boundary, should workload dictate.
The successful candidate must have 5 GCSEs/NVQ2 or vocabulary, verbal reasoning and numerical skills to the equivalent ability level. Knowledge and experience of housing and tenancy law; including succession, mutual exchange assignments and ending tenancies are essential. Demonstrable record of delivering excellent customer service and experience of working in a customer facing environment is also required.
Due to the nature of the role some out of hours work may be required, including evening meetings and weekend work. You must also have a clean driving licence and use of a car for work purposes
