Operations Manager - Manufacturing Position Overview
* Help resolve unforeseen technical or logistical issues, if they arise, with the Operations Manager and Engineering team as required
* Complete final inspections of machines as required
* Report Directly to the Operations Manager
* Maintain records of hours worked, holiday and sick days taken
* Ensure that all movements of goods are properly accounted for and that computerised work records are properly closed off as they are completed
* Provide technical, logical and professional direction to works and warehouse staff ensuring production and quality requirements are conducted within a safe and secure environment.
* Maintain excellent communication and support to all other departments within the company as required.
* Overall management of all operational matters including production, procurement and warehouse staff who all report to the Operations Manager either directly of via the Operations supervisor
* Overall responsibility for procurement;
* Supporting any sourcing or resourcing needs
* Maintaining a cost down approach
* Direct placing of orders and control of stock levels for consumables
* Direct placing of some higher value orders and scheduled call offs
* Relationship, evaluation and research of suppliers
* Improve supply of parts for fast and complete deliveries
Operations Manager - Manufacturing Position Requirements
* Proven knowledge of the Manufacturing, Engineering and Automation industries
* Qualification as an engineer with practical "hands on" experience from either a mechanical or electrical discipline
* PC Skills such as Word/Excel, training for in house software will be provided.
* Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
* Proven background in a similar role
* Experience in organising engineers work
* Based in a commutable distance of Enfield
* Experience managing a team or Manager experience on a shop floor advantageous.
* Ensure a safe working environment is maintained.

* Annual Salary, GBP40,000 - GBP50,000 Dependant on Experience.
* 28 Days Bank Holiday
