We have a fantastic opportunity for a commercially aware Acoustic Consultant to join a successful team of specialists in their Colchester office. The company looking to recruit is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy specialising in building and architectural acoustics. They are involved in a number of high profile projects predominantly in the education, healthcare and residential sectors.
Qualifications
MSc/BSc Acoustics/Noise and Vibration
Experience
Highly organised and IT literate
Exhibit excellent communication skills
Ability to write fluent and intelligible reports, placing a high emphasis on accuracy and consistency
Ideally Personal experience of Noise Modeling using a recognized software package
Commercially aware and team player
Good communication and client liaison skills
Specialist understanding of the required standards and regulations
Full driving license
Duties
Measurement surveys and reporting
Predominantly assessments in accordance with acoustics in the built environmental e.g. BB93
Advice on legislation
Planning conditions - compliance and negotiation
Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)
Liaise with consultants, engineers and architects
Write high quality reports
Fa??ade design to control external noise intrusion
Sound insulation and measurement
Mechanical services noise assessment
Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on appropriate use of planning conditions
Assessments in accordance with (PPG) 24 and BS4142
Sound insulation testing and advice on remedial treatment
Assessment of internal acoustic performance of buildings
Undertake noise assessment site visits all over the UK
Projects
Delivering a number of exciting and substantial projects within the education, healthcare, leisure, residential and commercial sectors.
