Redhill, Surrey

Raven is a Housing Association with 6,500 homes working across East Surrey and Sussex. We build homes for those that can’t meet their housing needs in the market and in doing so we help them change their lives. Our work goes far beyond that of a traditional landlord and extends into support for individuals and their communities. We are also a growing and increasingly complex social business with a turnover of £48m, and capital spends on building new homes of over £50m.

We are currently seeking an HR Coordinator (internally known as People Coordinator) to provide high-quality first-line support to employees and managers across all aspects of the employment lifecycle and to administer effectively our policies, processes, and HR systems in order to ensure an outstanding employment experience for all of our colleagues.

Reporting into the Transformation Director, you will work closely with our HR Business Partners and our other HR Coordinator, taking responsibility for the coordination of assigned areas of HR activity such as Learning & Development, Reward & Recognition, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Sickness Absence Management etc.

You will also look after the lifecycle administration for specified parts of the business, including payroll inputting and checking, drafting of contracts and other correspondence, running and updating of reports, maintenance of HR records and electronic files etc., whilst ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations, employment law, and internal service level agreements.

The successful candidate will have experience of providing first line support and will have a sound understanding of employment lifecycle administration, employment regulations, HR systems, HR processes, and good practice. Ideally, level 3 CIPD qualified (or with equivalent experience), you will have great communication skills, initiative, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively deal with ambiguity.

In return, you will have the opportunity to get involved with a broad and varied remit of HR activity, and to influence the ongoing improvement of policies, processes and procedures.

Closing date: Friday 19th October 2018.
