Senior Calibration Technician
Working in a dynamic instrument calibration laboratory, you will be responsible for testing, calibrating, operating and repairing a portfolio of specialised electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, electro-hydraulic or electronic measuring and recording instruments and equipment for testing air, pressure, temperature etc.
As Senior Technician your role focusses on, but is not limited to:
• Conducting traceable and UKAS accredited calibrations under ISO 9001 and BS EN ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems (following training).
• Producing calibration and test certificates.
• Producing testing and calibration procedures using bespoke laboratory calibration management software-training provided.
• Advising clients on instrument use and repair.
• Testing, calibrating and maintaining/repairing instruments and equipment.
Experience required:
•Ideally previous experience in a UKAS accredited laboratory ideally in the field of electrical calibrations but those with relevant experience in temperature, pressure, humidity or air velocity will also be considered.
•Good diagnostic skills.
•Good written and verbal communication, skills.
•PC Literacy and a methodical approach.
•Be living within a reasonable commute of Bracknell.
Desirables:
Knowledge of the production of uncertainty budgets and use of specialist lab software packages (Labview or Indysoft).
Please note this is not a Chemical/Chemistry/pharmaceutical environment and therefore NOT looking for those with wet chemistry /chemical lab or similar experience.
