Our Client is a Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy comprising of Landscape Architects, Urban Designers and Ecologists who have very reputable client base and work on very well-known prestigious projects around the UK.
They are now seeking a talented Consultant Ecologist to join their office in Cambridgeshire.
As a Consultant Ecologist the role will involve all aspects of ecological consultancy with a focus on undertaking surveys, preparing reporting deliverables and implementing mitigation on the ground. You will be involved in Planning and undertaking Extended Phase 1 habitat surveys, Undertaking Phase 2 species surveys, Technical report production including, survey reports, management plans, mitigation strategies and input into protected species licence applications.
Essential Requirements;
-An appropriate academic qualification in a related discipline
-Great Crested Newt Licence
-Have some demonstrable experience in ecological consultancy and experience in extended Phase 1 habitat survey along with protected species surveys
-Have a good understanding of relevant wildlife legislation and ecological survey methodologies
-Experience in undertaking protected species surveys
-Have excellent report writing skills with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
-Hold a valid driving license
-Terrestrial ecology consultancy experience
-Experience of contributing to EIAs for major infrastructure schemes
- Experience of undertaking Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species surveys;
