BTG recruitment are an accounting and finance recruiter covering the whole of the north west, BTG are currently working with an upcoming and growing client within the housing centre looking to full a recently opened role based in Salford quays.

What is the client looking for in a candidate?

• An AAT qualified candidate or a candidate who is currently studying their AAT
• Experience working within the social housing sector
• Someone who understands lease obligations and the companies financial control principles
• A candidate who is able to work using their own initiative to get their head down and get on with their work
• A candidate who understands ethical behaviour with good business practice
• Knowledge working with housing IT systems
• Excellent customer service skills
• Intermediate Excel skills- V-Lookups and Pivot Tables

What will the role involve?

• Timely and accurate posting of the weekly rent debit and allocation of tenant payments receipts from different sources including Direct Debit, Standing Orders and Universal Credit.
• Prompt processing of rent adjustments including tenant refunds.
• Bank reconciliations
• Daily reconciliation of rent ledger control account with housing system and cashbook.
• Processing of rent increase notifications to both tenant and local authority and updating the systems with relevant information
• Calculate all service charges, and preparation of budgets.
• Complete the draft annual service charge statements for Leaseholders and Shared Owners for statutory external audit.
• Monthly/quarterly invoicing of supported housing schemes for rent.
• Any other duties commensurate with the grade.
