FINTEC recruit is seeking a Test Technician for a well established engineering buisness based in Southampton. This is a permanent role with salary £25,000 to £30,000.

Responsibilities:

  • To service, calibrate and repair products
  • Perform testing on production and development stage products
  • Carry out fault analysis and repairs on components, products and equipment
  • Produce test reports, test records, fault analysis, repair reports
  • Test of critical components including PCBs to defined test procedures
  • Design, develop, manufacture and maintain test cables / jigs / equipment

Experience and skills required for the Test Technician role:

  • ONC/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Experience within electro-mechanical assembly and test PCB testing
  • Fault-finding to PCB component level Test jig design and development
  • Experience with electro-optical-mechanical assembly and test Soldering to IPC J-STD-001, wiring, PCB through hole and surface mount
