About Us 

Hartley Botanic is a long-established leading manufacturer of high-quality aluminium horticultural structures. Currently, we’re seeking an Industrial Design Engineer to further support the technical office with the production of detailed manufacturing drawings and general arrangement drawings. 

About You 

Reporting to the Head of Technical, you will: 

- Have a successful track record in technical design in a manufacturing environment, possibly with an engineering background 
- Have relevant skills, qualifications and/or experience with 2D and 3D CAD packages 
- Be proficient in the Microsoft office suite of applications and associated software literate 
- Have a full driving licence 

Ideally, you will have three/five years’ experience within the greenhouse/conservatory industry and/or fabrication/sheet metal disciplines, as well as knowledge of Desktop-Inventor, Radan-Radraft and Radan-3D, but this is not essential. 

As an Industrial Design Engineer, you should be dedicated, committed, methodical, logical, intuitive, consistent, able to work to deadlines, flexible and possess excellent communication skills when dealing with clients, contractors and shop-floor personnel. 

Additionally, the position requires frequent visits to sites throughout the UK to undertake detailed surveys and will necessitate occasional nights away from home. 

Practical, down to earth and also highly organized, as an Industrial Design Engineer, you will have the ability to question and challenge will be valued as much as your technical expertise 

Salary £28,000 plus Dependent On Experience
