Our client are currently recruiting for experienced Kitchen Porters to join their team at Heathrow Airport.
Working in one of our clients' executive lounges, you will be working in a fast paced environment. You must be flexible on your working hours as this role is shift work and will include working some weekend and bank holidays. You will be required to undergo a DBS (criminal records check) Successful applicants will also undergo a full 5 year reference check. The contract will be subject to these references being satisfactory.
Successful applicants will have a high level of both verbal and written English and a minimum of 1 years' experience within a professional kitchen/cleaning environment.
The role of a Kitchen Porter is physical. You will be standing/walking for long periods and moving heavy loads
This is a varied role but key responsibilities will include..
* Full operation of the dishwasher machine. This includes the clean down of the machine at the end of each shift.
* To maintain the cleanliness, of all back of house areas, at all times. Duties will include the sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning down of food prep and service areas and the emptying of waste bins from the kitchen to service areas
* To ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the companies standards
* Following the companies cleaning schedule - this will include weekly and periodic tasks.
* Ensuring the storerooms, fridges and freezers are kept clean and clear at all times,
* During service times support where necessary in the kitchen.
* Supporting the chef and Kitchen assistant with preparation of food items as requested
