We are partnering with a Global Manufacturing company with an excellent reputation to recruit an experienced Procurement Officer for a full-time, permanent role.
The Company:
Our client is thriving company with ambitious plans for future growth. They are currently seeking a Procurement Officer with experience in Manufacturing to join their existing team based in Livingston.
Responsibilities:
* Building and maintaining excellent relationships with both existing and new suppliers
* Developing and driving purchasing strategies
* Using Negotiating strategies to ensure savings without loss of quality
* Ensuring the supplier database is updated
* Driving efficiencies and reducing costs in line with agreed targets
* Reporting on costs, savings and spending to senior management
Requirements:
* Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
* A proven track record in a similar role within Manufacturing
* Supplier-management experience
* A strong aptitude for information gathering and data analysis
* A good awareness of manufacturing principles, pressures and constraints in relation to purchasing
* A relevant Business or Engineering Degree (or equivalent)
* CIPS Qualification (desirable)
* A good working knowledge of SAP (desirable)
The Location: The office is based in Livingston, West Lothian and the location is easily accessible by Car.
