Science Teacher

We are looking for a Science Teacher to join an enthusiastic department for maternity cover to join their team to teach at Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A level. The science department consists of 9 teachers and 2 technicians working in 7 well equipped laboratories. The team includes the Head of Science supported by a Second in Science, Heads of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. An experienced and supportive team of teachers, they have a strong department ethos and are committed to sharing resources, ideas and skills.
Applications from NQTs as well as more experienced teachers are welcome, and they are happy to accept applications from all three specialism's.

The successful Science Teacher will be responsible for:
• Classroom management
• Compiling and updating individual learning plans for students
• Teaching Science to KS3 and KS4
• Marking and planning for all lessons
• Maintaining and improving the academic results of their students
• To keep accurate records of the content of work

What you will need to be successful:
Have previous experience teaching the UK curriculum
Hold an up to date DBS
Have strong classroom management skills
Must work well with staff and pupils alike
Experience teaching Science up GCSE or A Level
