Salary: 20k + Bonus OTE 35k

Our Client, a practicing law firm regulated by the Solicitors Regulation authority are seeking Claims Handlers .

This specialist claims solicitors, is a new breed of law firm, born out of a desire to take the side of consumers in the fight for what is rightfully theirs.

Their expertise is in advising on valid claims for compensation and refunds on behalf of consumers, with their current focus being on the PPI mis-selling scandal. Governed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, they are not a call centre, they do not cold call nor do they aggressively chase clients. It is this professional, considerate approach that has been a major factor in their success.

Based in Stevenage, this young, friendly and dynamic company has their founder fully engaged in the running of the business and working alongside the rest of the team. Whilst the company have been around for ten years, in less than two years they have gone from just 20 employees making 540 claims a month to 50 staff handling over 5,000 PPI claims a month, reclaiming GBP25 million for 26,000 clients in 2016.

The Company are currently experiencing a significant increase in demand for their services and as a result are looking to recruit a number of full time Claims Handlers.

What to expect from a Claims Handler

Claims Handlers handle the client relationships from first call to final settlement. You'll need a professional, articulate manner and be able to demonstrate the ability to remain calm when under pressure or when dealing with sensitive issues. Whilst they firmly believe work should be an enjoyable experience, there is a strong emphasis on providing clients with the highest quality service.

The experience you'll have

You are likely to be educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience in office-based customer service, ideally with a financial or legal firm, or have worked in a sector that's heavily regulated. You'll need to show you can work in a team, but are prepared to use your initiative.

Earn c.GBP35k p.a. including company bonus

The company firmly believes that employees should share in the success of the business. They offer Claims Handlers a basic starting salary of GBP20,250 (rising to GBP21,600 after one year) plus a generous monthly bonus based on overall company performance (average bonus for 2017 = GBP1,100 per month per employee) that starts once your three month probationary period is successfully completed.

Training and Pay

Training will take place on the job, and you don't need any prior experience - just a positive attitude, the ability to excel working under pressure and learn new processes FAST. A back ground in Law or a law qualification would be ideal. After a 3 month probationary period, if you succeed in becoming a full employee, you will also qualify for the bonus.
