Our client is Hampshire's largest provider of affordable homes with around 850 staff. People are at the heart of this business; that's their employees and customers. They work closely with customers to make sure their communities are a safe, happy environment for them to live in.
They're recruiting for a Community Development Officer based in either Basingstoke or Portsmouth (depending on the successful candidate). This is a full time, permanent role, working 37 hours per week.
As a Community Development Officer, you'll create, implement, deliver and evaluate community-based programmes generated by section 106 requirements from development. You'll work closely with a variety of colleagues to project manage activities from start to finish, for those areas with the biggest need of community development. This'll involve cross-team working and building relationships with external organisations who will assist in forming and progressing the community groups and activities.
You'll have good knowledge of community development and current best practice, with a strong understanding of section 106 requirement & associated funding. You'll bring a wealth of experience in developing & leading community projects. And be confident in building relations with internal and external customers. You'll need to be able to travel between sites as part of your role, so you'll need a full current driving licence with access to a vehicle.
