An Industrial Spray Painter & Shot Blaster is required on a short term contract for a large rail company based in Longsight, Manchester.
Our client is eager for the successful applicant to start as soon as possible.
Rate & Hours
You are required to work days and nights on this project, 48 hours/week Monday to Friday. The rates are broken down below;
GBP14.82 per hour - days
GBP15.86 per hour - nights
In addition to these rates, there is a GBP0.35 retention payment accrued on every hour worked. This is payable upon completion of the project in December 2018. All breaks are also paid.
Responsibilities
Work as directed by and in co-operation with the Traincare Centre Production Manager will comply with:
• Work as part of a team, complete or assist in any of the team's activities to ensure work is completed on time to specification.
Will be responsible for:
• Spray paint train bogies using 2 pack spray paint
• Shot blast train bogies
• With other team members will maintain good housekeeping systems of work areas.
• Will carry out final work and process inspections as required.
• Will be capable of being trained in other activities/skills as required by the Production Manager
Technical Skills and Competencies
Applicants must have previous experience of using Airless Spray Pump Systems in addition to the following???
• Qualified certificated Abrasive Blaster/Painter
• Written and communication skills
• Team worker
• Self Motivated
• Work under own initiative
• Previous experience of spray painting is essential for this role
My client operates a strict drug and alcohol policy; any successful candidate would be subject to a drug and alcohol test at interview and on day one.
